Wednesday???

I was thinking 2 things today...first, today is only Wednesday :) This week has seemed to snail by! Maybe the end of the week will go faster, although i'm not counting on it!



Something that has gone by really fast though is February! I guess its a short month anyway so that makes it seem like it goes faster but i'm having problems believing that it is almost over! But I'm glad because it means Spring Break is 2.5 weeks away and i get a pay check on Monday! :)

Crayon Box

Several of my art projects i get from Mrs. Brown' art blog. This is one such project that i got from her...i did it a little different but it still turned out cute! We read the "Crayon Box that Talked". Its is about the different colors of a crayon box not getting along but when they work together to make a picture all the different colors see that every color has their value. Anyway, its pretty cute!

Tea Time

So i bought this last night at Target! It has a little basket in the lid that you put loose leaf tea in...then you add hot water...drop the basket into the water and let it brew....Its awesome!! I did have a little problem with the basket not wanting to stay after i brewed but it doesn't really bother me!! You can also use it for coffee!

Fun Foto Fridays!

So i have decided to steal an idea from Whitney's blog and have "Fun Foto Fridays"...where i post fun friends and family photos from the past and present! I'm dedicating the first day to my brother. My little brother turns 29 tomorrow! Happy Birthday...i hope you get a pink pigota football!

The students then had to copy their part of the puzzle onto bigger paper and then we taped it all together...

Shoes!

i've been into shoes lately....why??? i have no idea! i can't really recall at time when i have ever been into shoes....but i could be wrong! anyway...today i bought another pair....a friend from work was wearing them and they had my name written all over them so i found them on amazon.com and bought them!

We are in need of a Whole Foods in OKC!! We had school meetings in Tulsa today and stopped by a Whole Foods afterwards!! I love that store....they have the best cheese and meat deli along with an awesome salad bar and very fresh produce! My first experience with a Whole Foods was in NYC on our honeymoon and i seriously think we spent over an hour just looking around!! In the NYC Whole Foods they have a whole restaraunt type thing on the top floor with sushi and an awesome salad bar! Anyway....if you have a chance to visit one i say GO! And hopefully some day OKC will be caught up with the rest of the world! :)

Puppies

The cute little owl i made this week in class!! :)

I know it hasn't been very long since i've been doing this weight watchers things...but i will tell you one thing. I feel a lot better....i have more energy....i am not tired all the time....i feel better about myself in general....its a really nice feeling and makes me want to stay with it! I'm sure if i would do some actual exercise it would be that much better :)



On another subject....i was put in charge of the art and oklahoma board for the turkish Olympiads here at school....i posted one of the pictures (the one that i expect to win). And yesterday we worked on our oklahoma board....to be quite blunt, it looks like shit! I for sure didn't do my best work on coming up with an idea......i'm not to worried about it...i did have students that helped put it together so i can make my case that way! :)

so i had to go get some RID today....for those of you that don't know its a lice killing shampoo. there have been several kids at school these days getting sent home with lice. yesterday i went on a field trip with some 2nd graders....one of the ones that was in my group and who held my hand, and gave me several hugs and sat next to me all the time, got sent home with lice today. although my friend jennifer checked me i thought i would take the no lice precaution! this has been happening all year...there are two families that have about 11 kids in our school that can't seem to get "rid" of it!! (i crack myself up!)

So i have started weight watchers online! I think its going to be good because i can keep track of all that i'm eating...i've done this method before and it worked pretty well. There are several teachers here at school that are also joining the online program. It is pretty funny because we are all on each others backs about what we are eating and if we have been good. Note, it has only been 2 days so hopefully it works out!


I'm enjoying taking pictures with my phone and e-mailing them to myself...and since i'm at school, i've got some more school pictures! This is what was left after the third grade class left my classroom this afternoon.

Sure does look to me like this is a crayon bucket!!

So i'm doing the under the sea project with my kindergarten and 1st grade today. (yes..i had to come up with something last minute! :) Anyway, i was drawing some of the thing the kindergarten was telling me was under the sea and some of them came out really funny! So i took a picture...i will post some of their pictures later. :) And i couldn't figure out how to draw a squid fast so i just wrote it :) Anyone have a guess at what this might be...hehe!

Art Contest...so my students are entering a Turkish art contest. I thought the deadline for the contest was today and when i just looked it isn't until next Friday (woohoo, because i was a little panicy!) Anyway, i had all the students bringing back their art work today and i think this one turned out really well....

So its time! Its time for me to come up with a plan to tackle the mess that is my house and try to keep it that way! So i am going to try a routine....and here it is!

Mondays- clean den/start laundry

Tuesdays- kitchen/dining room

Wednesdays- grocery shopping/laundry

Thursdays- free (i have to give myself some time off :)

Fridays- living room/laundry

Saturdays and Sundays- kitchen/laundry/bathrooms

Now one might ask when our bedrooms will be clean...and its a good question! When the laundry is all done our bedroom will be clean, note all the days of laundry. My goal is to be able to get everything done in the hour between 4-5 when i get home from work....that won't happen right away because i can promise you its going to take me more than an hour today to get all of our dirty dishes clean! Hopefully next week, assuming i stick to the plan, it won't take me as long! Wish me luck! :)

I am going to print this off and hang it up in my house so that i will see it and hopefully inspire me to get it done!

We went and saw Taken on Friday night....i was so needing to get out of the house because i had been here sick for four days! If you like actiony movies it was pretty good, but again i say, it would be okay to wait for it to come out on video. I'm sure we will buy it when it comes out though. Anyway.....the best part of the movie was the old guy that was sitting next to us. He was from a really small Oklahoma town, you could tell because he talked really loud before the movie.....he was also on a first or second date! So during the movie he was really loud and made lots of very loud comments....the one that had me cracking up was "HE'S GONNA DRY HER UP" (said in a VERY Oklahoma accent) ....i couldn't stop laughing. I won't tell you what he was refering to, i'll just let you come up with your own ideas!
