Well, work is becoming more time consuming :) There are more case and more people crying to me on the phone and more people winding up in jail for 3 years and have 6 kids...it makes me sick to think about sometimes!!

I got a call yesterday from Big Brothers Big Sisters and I have a meeting with a potential little sis this Thursday. This is exciting to me...when they were telling me about her it was kind of neat because it looks like she has some of the same things i went through. If that doesn't work out then i guess they will try to see if there is someone else for me. The dad of the little girl will be at the meeting too, just to make sure that i'm okay. I'm sure my hair could cause some problems :) But we will see....

Roller Derby was awesome the other night...i wanted to join but recruiting has closed so alas...i will have to wait. But, when i do get a chance it will be fun!

Lastly...the good news of the day.... jenn officially has a boyfriend! :) Some of you met him the other night at the bout. He's a great guy and hopefully we will be at Grandpa Griffith on Saturday night so you guys can see how great he is too! :)

Okay, its about time to leave work...Hooray!

Well, I'm offically done with the work that has been assigned to me this week. So unless something un-forseen happens i'm ready for the weekend! :) I love working four, ten hour days and then getting three days off! It makes my life very happy. The down fall to all of this though is that its now 2:30 and i have to be here until 5:30....so needless to say, i'm going to be bored. Good thing i've taken up knitting :) I'm currently working on a baby blanket for a friend of mine...i've already started one and it just didnt' work out so well so we will see what happens with this one...i like knitting because it keeps my hands busy and your able to talk and pay attention to other things while doing it! Being as i'm a person who needs to be doing something most of the time, it comes in handy.

And i've also got my book. I'm currently reading Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk, i have two words to say....FUCKED UP! I'm loving it but this is seriously one of the most messed up books i've read in a while. When i was going to bed last night i noticed this weird face staring up at me from the floor. Yeap, almost peed my pants because the DAMN cover glows in the freakin' flippin' dark!!! But all is better now...

Stranger than ficition came out on video on Tuesday and i recommend everyone to see it. Its really good and Will Farrell does a very good job in a serious roll (but this is my opinion). Also, Target currently has the Firefly DVD's on sell for $20. This is a killer, killer buy and Firefly just pretty much kicks ass....so thats all i have to say about that!

I hope everyone has a very lovely weekend...

Damn...my head hurts :( Not sure why really...it just does! Really nothing new is going on...work is taking some getting used to...i'm having a hard time staying focused and getting what needs to be done done...and everyone keeps calling with a 100 new things that are making them disabled! Problem is, is that i have a lot of those same problems and working on their case! :) But what do you do....

Anyway...Special K Chocolate Delight is really Delightful and i recommend it to everyone...and no it doesn't break my no sweet for Lent...because its a cereal! :)

This is all i can write right now...if i find time and energy tomorrow i will try to write more :)

so if i would have just done a little research when asking when the next wilco album is going to come out i would have found out that it is going to be May 15th. there are several new cds coming out in the next few months...lets see:

Arcade Fire March6th

Modest Mouse March 7th (but i have a feeling my source here is not right being as this is a wednesday :)

Bright Eyes April 10th

Wilco May 15th

well, thats all i got for now! :) Radioheads new album comes out this year too but haven't found any reliable dates :)

so last night i finished reading velvet elvis....it took me a little while, i know! but i really like it!

He writes towards the end of the book about heaven and hell. I like his idea that we are here on earth to make heaven on earth so that God can come down to earth to live here with us. How do we make heaven here on earth...well, we do what Jesus did when he was here on earth. This is something that i've thought for a while now, but it gets a little overwhelming when it doesn't seem like even "christians" believe this. And when it seems that everyone is out for themselves and not willing to help those who need help. I see this in a lot of the people i work with....the attitude of "they got themselves in the situation, they can get themselves out"....oh, this could be farther from the truth. Anyway...its a good book....it kind of gives me hope for religion and for the earth even...although it seems that its getting a lot worse than any better :)

Okay, so continue a little bit of my discussion from yesterday:

Another cd that i've been really digging lately is the new TV on the Radio...Return to Cookie Mountian. I haven't heard a lot of them before...i have an older cd somewhere but obviously i wasn't so impressed because i don't remember it at all. The new cd has a little bit of a jazz feel in some songs. They get a bit "noisy" sometimes but i love it...it reminds me a bit of Wilco (when is wilco putting out a new cd???) They are playing in Dallas on April 4th and i am intending to go...if you pick up the cd and love it as much as i do..or just want a road trip for the night, come to this concert with me! :)

There is a band called the Annuals...which, somehow i found their myspace a while ago, put them in my favorites then never listened to them again...but i recently aquired their cd and am really digging it...they are playing at the Opolis, yes in Norman (i was shocked too! :) on March 13th. Its funny to me, when listening to their cd i feel at any moment in several songs they are going to just start screaming....but they don't. Some of the songs even have a bit of a classical feel to them...then a you should be screaming...then to a pop rock feel. I dig it! Maybe i'm just liking music with a lot of change in it these days...but that can't be totally it because the Fionn Regan is really simple folk stuff and thats working out just as well for me! huh...who knows! it is me!
I've always loved quotes and nothing has changed! So i will leave you all with some quotes :)
I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me. Noel Coward
I am an artist. I am here to live out loud. Emile Zola
Take care of the moments and the years will take care of themselves. Anon
The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining. JFK
The problem is not that there are problems. The problem is expecting otherwise and thinking that having problems is a problem. Theodore Rubin

2 blogs in one day...what is the world coming to...well, i'm pretty damn bored at the moment! So i thought i'd let you guys in on some of the new music that i've been listening to...

Yo La Tengo has a new cd out "i am not afraid of you and i will beat your ass": this, hands down, is much better than the last album they put out, "summer sun" which i was really excited about because the album before that "and then nothing turned itself inside-out" is on my top album list. But alas, summer sun sucked ass and i was scared about their new one. But they have proven that they don't suck. It's got the same laid back vibe as "and then nothing turned" with a little more rockin' feel. They used less "noise" and even shorten their songs which probably makes this album more listener friendly. Most of you won't like Yo La Tengo, and thats okay but I do enjoy it!

The Decemberist "The Cranes Wife"...holy shit...this is by far the best decemberist album so far. It always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside when the albums get better and not worse. Listen to this one with headphones or really loud while driving. Colin Meloy (lead singer) has a voice that you can't compare anyone to, and really its just hard to explain. They rock this album out a little more and they have such great suprises...like the end of "The Island, come and see....." (track 2), the song changes left and right and then bam an awesome ending that makes you want to listen to all 12 minutes again just to hear the end! So, so good! The drummer of the decemberist, i would have his children, he is just awesome...but i've been on a bit of a drummer kick lately! (kick...haha! :) *trust me this is not a good thing*

Boy do i have more music to share with you but right now i'm listening to the 2nd track on the decemberist album and want to listen to it instead of write...i also have some show dates to throw out there...i will probably be going so if anyone want to join me when i post them let me know! :)
