Its a beautiful day in the neighborhood....a beautiful day for a neighbor....won't you be mine!!!

man, i love this weather...it makes me happy and even the horrible things seem a little better!!! nothing horrible has happened but if it did, it would be better : )

i love, love, love being outside...all i wanted to do today was grab a soccer ball and do a little practicing...but it was my really long day and it just didn't happen...maybe tomorrow, its supposed to be just as nice tomorrow...i love it!!! my one concern though is that it may be an extremely hot summer....i guess we will see : )

happy ash wednesday...as i posted last year around this time growing up in the church of christ we didn't really "celebrate" lent....so its kind of still weird to me, even though i've been going to churches that have for about 5 years...hum...o well, i'm tired and starting to not make sense to myself...and if i don't understand myself that is never good because i'm usually the only one that can understand me!!! : ) so to bed i go, so that i can get up early in the morning and work out since i didn't get to do that today (yeah, right...i'm so not a morning person! : )

Quote for the day!!

"I think you should know
That green eyes
You're the one that I wanted to find
And anyone who tried to deny you,
Must be out of their mind" coldplay : )

I love the brits... : ) A friend of mine got sick today...which is not cool for her but she had tickets to coldplay and needed someone to go in her spot...so, of course, i couldn't let a coldplay ticket go to waste and i went...i was half expecting it to be a little over done, but it was really, really good....they did a great job of picking songs from all of their albums...the lights where killer, especially the ones shining in my eyes : ) Chris Martin was way more active on stage then i ever thought he would be...i think it must be a british thing...you should see Thom Yorke!! I guess Chris Martin had a problem with his pants zipper, but from where i was sitting you couldn't tell : ) I did sit through half the concert thinking...he has a daughter named Apple!!! I haven't decided if i like that name for a kid? I'm very glad i went...i'm thinking the concert may have made it into my top 10 but not in my top 5...i left with a happy, laid back feeling...actually this was probably the most laid back i've ever been at a concert...i sat for most of it, and if you've ever been to a concert with me, you know this is not my way!!! Although i'm feeling like all is right with the world (for now : ) I never felt the excitement i normally do before and after concerts....but thats okay : ) it was really good anyway and i would totally go see them again!!!

I'm going to bore you with some classical music talk...being as i am a cellist a big part of my life has been focused around classical music....although my musical focus is not on classical music at the moment, it has been in the past and i still love it!!...and i'm missing playing classical music right now...it moves me in ways other music can't....tonight theresa and i went to the library book sale at the fair grounds...it was fun, i love books (which is blog in progress) but i got stuck tonight at the vinyl (for a really long time...again, sorry theresa)...i bought several, at 50 cents who wouldn't....i started listening to them and it just makes me happy...i was listening to some beethoven symphonies and beethoven makes me laugh...one on my favorites is the 4th movement from the 5th symphony....everyone and even there dogs know the first movement, but the 4th movement is better : )....i swear it takes him 5-7 minutes to end the song...you think its about to end then he adds something else...then you think its about to end and he adds something else...to me this just makes me laugh every time i hear it...maybe you just have to be me in all of my nerdyness but its really funny....i bought some other stuff and i'm not going to go into all of it for you for fear that no one will ever read this blog again...but i also love string quartets...one of my all time favorites is the american string quartet by dvorak...i have a special place in my heart this piece...i was in high school at band camp (okay, it was an orchestra/art camp : )...the faculty string quartet was playing it at a recital and i don't think i've listened to anything more intently in my life....i loved every single note...this is where i started growing to love live music of all types...there is just so much more emotion in seeing and hearing things live then on a recording...i like seeing the musicians love for what they do or the song they wrote....and one of these days i will find some other string players who will perform the american quartet it with me : )....one thing i love about dvorak is that his cello lines are awesome...this is what i'm listening to as i write this blog...dvorak has always been one of my favorite composers...his string serenade i love too...and who doesn't love the new world symphony....okay, i'm almost done i promise : )....two things everyone should probably know about me....when (or i should say if : ) i get married, i will be walking down the isle to griegs hall of the mountian king (if anyone steals this brilliant idea, i will hurt you : )...and i want to name my little girl (assuming i have one) after one of the holst planets (and it would probably end up being a middle name : )...i'll just let you ponder that one : )...okay, okay i'm done!!! if you read all of this, thanks for indulging me : )

I will just tell you now this is one of the most awesome things i've ever seen in my life...and i've seen a lot of concerts...it doesn't replace radiohead for number 1 concert but it is for sure number 2!!! i will post more pictures and tell you more about that later...

Right now i'm tired...have you ever been so tired that you are really moody and your entire existence feels completely out of place...like you don't belong where you are...and its even possible you don't belong anywhere...well this is how i feel right now...i'm thinking its time for me to go to the grocery store and then come home and take a nap...which could just lead to sleeping the entire night away!!!

I have tons of blog stuff and i have it all written down so that when i'm in more of a glad to be alive mood i will post it : )

well, that same night we ended up playing some cranium too (which is one of my favorite games)...i really hate the word worm part of that game though!! so it was my teams turn and we had to answer the dreaded yellow card...the question was finish this quote..."once upon a midnight dreary...." the only answer that came to my head was "i woke with something in my rearry!!"
man, sometimes i just crack myself up!!!

happy tuesday and happy valentines day!!! i hate this "holiday" but so goes life : ) but i hope everyone has a good one regardless...

there are about 12-20 people going to new orleans on a rebuilding mission this spring break and we need your help....if you would like to contribute money or even time please let us know....there is still room for 8 more people!!!

today, i'm helping my sister move...fun and exciting stuff...i'm actually pretty much going to move her : ) but i don't mind...

quote for today...

"If heaven and hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on their vacancy signs

If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark" death cab

Why hello again...if you get a weird e-mail asking you to join myspace, well, i was trying to send you an invite to the greatest anti-valentines party in the world...which is going to be this saturday at Whitneys...i'm not trying to push myspace on you : ) There will be plenty of dancing and socializing and it is byob...but i think we are making happy punch : ) and invite anyone and everyone!!! fyi...we are not against love or couples or loving couples...we are just against valentines day : )

I got patrias room done...and it worked beautifully...its changed a lot...having our own space and not having to see each other all the time is great for both of us...she was really excited because she got to hang a lot of pictures and keep all of her stuff in the same place...to bad i only came up with this brillant idea last week... : )

I've been looking for a choose your own adventure book forever...and i've told several of you about it several times...but last week at the thrift store i found one for 25 cents...its amazing how the small things in life make you so happy : ) Ashley and Andy read one out loud the other night and it was still pretty fun : )

i hope everyone has a happy monday....

quote for today....

"Trying to out run your fears

Your running to lose,

Heart on your sleeve,

and your soul in your shoes.

Take a left,

a sharp left,

and another left,

meet me on the corner -- We'll start again." badly drawn boy

Why hello dear friends....i promise to get back on the blog band wagon soon...i'm sure everyone has been missing my daily ramblings about nothing....I haven't exactly been sleeping lately...i guess i've been drinking to much coffee...i seem to be doing that a lot : ) So one would think, if she is not sleeping why isn't she blogging...well, instead of getting up and stumbling, or writing...i stay in bed and think...thinking is so not good, especially for someone like me who has an over active mind most of the time...i will now give my dear readers some of what i was thinking about last night : ) not all, but some : ) i think it started with trying to think of songs to write out for string quartet...then it went to the corset that i'm supposed to wear at our next show (which is so not happening if they want me to breath : ) then i'm doing my monthly weigh in thing tomorrow (i just weigh myself once a month to see if i've lost any weight : )...then i started stressing about some paper that have to be turned into all my schools tomorrow and how i was going to get them there, okay...then there is other small stuff...and then when its really late i start coming up with great craft/artsy projects...i have figured out how i can make patria her own room in my house, mind you it would be small but it would be her own room : ) then i have this great idea for an art project, but it involves things that i may not get (which i won't go into : )...anyway, this is what i've got for you today : ) oh, and riley really needs a hair cut...once that is done i will post more pictures.... i'm going with friends to see sigur ros on the 22nd...i can't wait : )

now to bore you guys with more stumbling stuff (well, maybe some of you won't be bored : )...here are some more sites that i have found....
