and we're off

well, we haven't actually gone yet, but we are close to off....we got the car and i'm about to walk out the door, but i just thought i'd wish everyone a good rest of the week....until i write again (and who knows i may audio blog, maybe : )

Well

i hope everyone likes the changes i've made to my blog...i really like them : ) they make me happy...i found a neat website called photobucket...now i'm going to be able to add even more pictures to my blog and i'm sure all of you are extremely happy about that : ) changing my blog gives me more options in text color too and i think i'm going to like that more, it seems that i was running out of colors...hopefully i can go back and fix the ones that are to light for this page (we'll see : )...

tomorrow i go record some caverns stuff...maybe...there is really no telling if it will actually get done or not.... since the article on the caverns wasn't in the gazette last week maybe it will be this week...

i'm also going with sweet t to get a manicure and pedicure done before our fun trip on thursday...which will provide more pictures for my blog : )

thursday...colorado here we come...and the most important thing that we are going to be doing in colorado is going to see the sufjan stevens concert....i had a dream about it last night and my friend ry decided that he was going to wear a suit to the concert just to be different....i don't know : )....its going to be good : ) being as my digital camera was smashed by some random act of violence, i think i may have to get a throw away camera to take into the concert... : )

if you will notice on the left of my blog i was e-mailed my pictures with wayne from the flaming lips.... : )

i have called classen about 10 times today and no one answered....i will try until someone does answer and i will let all of you know when my interview is : )

I like change and so i'm changing the look of my blog...also i've pretty much redone my house : ) I'll write more when i see that this works...

i haven't posted in a while but what do you do : ) lets see what all is happening....first and foremost i found out the my job is still open and they are starting interviews on Aug 2nd. I have to call and set up a time but just to know that it is still available made me very happy....i am getting my teeth fixed....i spent three hours in the dentist this morning and they took off the big bulky ones and put on some temps until they can get the new ones in....so confusing i know...but the most exciting thing is that i leave on thursday with some friends to colorado...i love to travel and this is going to be tons of fun...i think at this point thats all i got...but i will try to write more before going on our trip : )

teeth

hum...i just found a new picture thing...this is going to be fun...

this whole teeth thing is becoming a nightmare....i left the dentist office crying this morning because they look horrible....and that is not me just being uptight, because i'm not uptight...my family was being my family..."oh, they don't look that bad"...blah...the dentist office called me later and told me that they did look horrible and that they would do anything and everything to fix them....so now a few more month of horrible teeth...i think these are worse than the ones i had on...i may just ask them to take them off and not worry about it...its funny how everything happens like this in my life....

Harry potter : (

I have never in my life cried this hard at the end of any book....After following the last 5 books and getting to know the characters....And the 6th book ends like it does, anyone would cry....i will not give anymore away for those of you who are going to read it....i've read the last 5 books a couple of times a piece but i don't think i'm going to be able to read this one again...And i'm really hoping it doesn't take her 2 years to put out the next one....i know, i know....jenn, its just a book : )



on with life...

the gazette may have an article on the caverns tomorrow so if you are around a gazette check it out....who knows if it will actually be there though....

tomorrow i will have new teeth...about this i am very excited...

job interview was a waste of time....i'll have to explain later but who knows what i'm going to be doing next year...

nervous

so i'm getting kind of nervous about tomorrow morning....i just hope i do well...those of you who pray..please pray that i make it through tomorrow...

went to see shark boy and lava girl 3D today....its amazing what you will do for kids : ) I can't honestly say it was in any way good but we had fun and i'm not sure if the little girl i took had ever been to a real movie theatre, she seemed very new to the whole experience...

i haven't read much of harry potter...i know, shame on me but i've been home a total of about 45 minutes this week (not including sleeping : )...so i really haven't had much time, but what i have read it really good and i'm excited to read more...i'm hoping to read a lot on tuesday...red cup here i come....

just went and saw charlie and the chocolate factory and i thought it pretty much rocked...it was way funnier than i expected...it was supposed to follow the book almost exactly, but since i haven't read the book, i don't know...speaking of books...i am about to embark on the harry potter adventure...yes, that is right, i'm speaking of the 6th book....the very long awaited 6th book....man, all this excitement in one evening...i don't know what to do....then after reading that maybe i'll check out the willie wonka book : )

pizza

I made the best tomato, basil, mozzarella pizza tonight for dinner....and it reminded me of a very cool party some friends and i had a while back....we all got together and made our own pizzas...one guy spent an hour (no lie) forming the pizza crust...it did look perfect : ) there was another guy who had a "brilliant" idea for fish stick pizza....it involved tartar sauce, fish sticks and cheese...i think, pretty needless to say, it wasn't that brilliant....but it was a lot of fun...i think i may have to do something like that again soon....

i watched this movie today...it made me cry...but i liked it

two more days until harry freakin' flippin' potter....

to be or not to be

i'm beginning to think that in about 5 years there are going to be no need for string teachers at all because there are going to be no string programs....blah...i've been looking online for the last hour or so and music is just not important.... : ( i've even been checking out of state....nothing...i e-mailed a few people...the chick from OKC schools (again) and i will probably call her and against my better judgment i e-mailed the guy in ponca city.... i would really rather not move to ponca city but my choices are getting pretty slim....well, you got to do what you got to do....and right now i've got to sleep...

good weekend : )

Man, this weekend pretty much rocked.....it started on Friday night when a friend and i took home 5 strange men we met at a bar....that was just really fun to say, now i will explain....there were 2 bands that needed a place to stay after friday nights gig, so we took them to my friends house....3 of the guys were from Holland and the other two from Chicago....they were all really cool...One of the holland guys kept singing everything...he came out the front door in the morning and sang...."good morning", then got out of my car from getting coffee, and sang...."honey, i'm home"....the chicago guys, my friend and i went to the red cup for lunch and had good conversation...it was just weird and cool to be hanging out with random people that you will probably never see again, but had a great time while they were here....i'm sure there are several stories of our little weekend that i will share with you as time passes...but something that was interesting...when the holland guys left they gave us big hugs and kisses and didn't really think anything of it...then the chicago guys left it was like, okay, have a great trip....and that was pretty much it...i think we should all be more like the holland guys....

Saturday night, i kicked some woody ass....i'll leave that one opened but for those of you that were there you know what i mean : )



Tonight, i saw hitchhikers guide to the galaxy...i really liked it, i really liked marvin because he was just cute....see, how cute he is...and the movie was really funny...i think i'd like to see it again because i'm sure there are several funny lines that i just missed...but one thing that i didn't miss was the preview and saw the preview for one of the movies i've been waiting for....

SERENITY...oh man, its a josh whedon movie...it used to be a tv show called firefly...its like a cowboy movie set in the future....heres the trailer.....it comes out september 30th....i can't wait...even though i have to...



6 more days until harry potter...i've got to finish the book i'm reading first...just so i make sure and finish it...but it kind of pissed me off today, i may not like this guy after all...

i have finally got my house back in order after camp...i was just so tired all the time when i got home from camp that my house was a little on the messy side, but no need to fear, it has been taken care of...now i just need to catch up on my laundry....ah....

everyone should come to the conservatory tomorrow night just to see chad dance....the last song is a bit of a dance song and man, he gets with it and it is funny....the last two songs in the set are great...

i start my new job tomorrow...i'm thinking there is going to be a lot of nothing going on....we'll see though....

10 days

okay, obviously i have more time on my hands....

10 days until the new harry potter book comes out....
i heard a rumor today that she has combined the 6th and the 7th book so this would be the last one...part of me say this would be awesome and then the other part of me thinks that it would be sad....but the person who told me made a good point, if its taking her so long to write the books, i'd rather it be both books so we can have an ending....

Unfortunately for you drama-loving readers, this doesn't seem to be a G-unit/unot situation. In fact, Eve seems to have taken off on fairly good terms, the website stating with absolutely no capitalization, "...Eve Miller has decided to leave the band. we all still love each other of course, but there can be such a thing as too much touring, and eve decided it was time to move on."

So, the search begins. Matt Pond PA is looking for a replacement, preferably someone who plays both cello and keyboards, wants to be a committed member of the group, and resides in or near New York City. howdy

i thought tonights show went well...i had a good time anyway...i thought the castanets rocked, even though they didn't have any of their equipment....it was stuck on the van with the other two bands that were supposed to play....i thought it was way cool because it was so intimate and they really didn't even need a sound system...i don't know about anyone else, but i enjoyed it a lot....i'm excited to see them again with all of their stuff....

i play in another group called the plainfingers and we are playing the conservatory friday night...note *this is our first show* so we will be better later : )

happy day after independence day : )

today, i feel like i got some things accomplished....

1st i got my window fixed and was treated like crap by my insurance people but everything is taken care of....in the next couple of days i get to get my car detailed because there are little, little pieces of glass everywhere that the glass guys couldn't get out....and it looks like they did some damage to my door when they broke the window...i didn't notice until today but the door is bent up..

2nd my friend teri and i went to get our nails done and for the most part they look pretty good...i'm not exactly sure how my nails ended up they way they do....i couldn't understand the lady very well and i'm not exactly sure what i agreed to...i hope i didn't agree to bomb someone or something like that....i guess i look like i am 17 because she was completely shocked when i told her my age, which made me wonder if everyone thinks i'm 17 and if they do then that could explain a few things : )

3rd i got another part time job...i start on friday and i will be working with my sister...we'll see how that works out, the lady i interviewed with also gave me a teaching job lead that i'm going to check out tomorrow...

4th i got a "new" to me phone this weekend and it doesn't ring ( i switched out my sister)....i took that in today and they are going to get me a new phone...that will be nice...

so i guess even when bad things happen some good can come out of it...

so now what are you going to do? : ) well, i'm going to work out and then get ready to play a kick ass show tonight....i'm getting more excited now that it is getting closer....

welcome to my life.....101

its 5:30 in the morning....its storming and if you know me, you know that i'm not much for being up this early.....but about 45 minutes ago someone starts ringing my doorbell...i'm freaking out, because i don't have good to the door sleeping wear on, so i grap a blanket, and find out that it is my next door neighbor (an ex-cop)....he proceeds to tell me that my car has just been broken into....so i go to see if anything is missing and everything seems to be okay, except that i am now missing a window...so i go back inside change clothes and go take some stuff out of my car and notice that they did get my digital camera...i then proceed to put something on my window (note again, it is raining) , maybe i should say try to put something on the window....duck tape does not work very well in rain (just a little note) ....i then call 911 and file a report and hope that i don't have a warrant out for my arrest (which is totally likely but a whole other story, which also involves me being screwed over)....the cop comes ( and he is pretty cute, thats the only good part of my story) and takes the report and while he is here we find out that there have been several car break in's tonight in my same area....if it is going to happen to anyone, it is going to happen to me....such is my life....
